Okay I might not have posted this in the right section but I'm new here (lol).

Okay so my first question is why does my PC automatically use my HDMI output (TV) instead of my DisplayPort when I first boot it up?
My TV is always off and my monitor auto-wakes up when I turn on my PC but it still prioritizes the TV (that is always off) so it (monitor) basically gets no signal and goes to sleep.
I've tried changing the "Project" settings to PC SCREEN ONLY but it just shows the TV lol.
I have to disconnect/reconnect the DisplayPort cable from my back of my monitor and THEN switch the Project setting to PC SCREEN ONLY off of my TV and it works again.

Is there a way to prioritize my Monitor in this way so that it stops "prioritizing" my TV until I tell it I need it? I really only use it for movies/shows. Thanks for any help guys

During boot up, the primary display is based on which port is plugged in. It is based on the graphics card, each card has an order of priority to their ports which is used during boot up. It cannot be changed.
OK so I disconnected the HMDI now and it doesnt automatically turn on my monitor anymore whenever I boot up, I still have to reconnect the DP cable. This never happened before until I started using the HDMI. Is there a fix for this new problem?
