Hello there I recently upgraded my PC GPU to a MSI GTX 970 from what i believe was a GT 440 (Model No.P1062-000B) or a gt 660).

Anyways i removed my old gpu and installed the new gpu and connected it to the psu using the connectors. However when i tried booting it, the peripherals in all the usb slots stopped working. However i plugged in my phone and it charged but when i plug in my mouse and keyboard it doesn't work. I didn't have any issues with my mobo before hand which is a (gigabit GA-Z97X-SLI ).

I have changed wall sockets
I have tried different usb connections on the mobo
I have used the peripherals on a laptop to see if they work and they do
I cant reset my bios or check device manager because obviously the peripherals don't work
I tried resetting the CMOS battery by taking it out and putting it back in
i also tried using the integrated gpu on the CPU and plugging back in my old gpu to see if tht works (it didnt)
my psu is 600w so it has more than enough power
There is power going to the USB slots

Specs:

The USB ports just aren't working with the peripherals and i don't know why, and i cant find a solution anywhere

(update while writing this) my keyboard and mouse work when I'm using the BIOS what is a solution to this now i know it works there?
