Hey there!

I recently purchased a barebones pc, and stupidly didn't do enough homework on every single in's and out's of mobo specs.
So I ended up with this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131626&cm_re=m4n68t-m-_-13-131-626-_-Product

I'm currently sporting:

-althlon II x4 630

-BFG 550w 80%+ certified PSU

-gigabyte - ATI radeon 5670 Graphics card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125312&cm_re=5670-_-14-125-312-_-Product

-4gigs of pc3-8500G (533mhz) http://www.xpcgear.com/ocz3g10662g.html

So anyway, I found out that the mobo is only 2000 mt/s with HT. Which is like half of the speed of most decent mobos out there, and doesn't even have pci-e 2.0 but has ddr3... what kind of crap is that?

What kind of board should I upgrade to? Should I also be upgrading my memory in the process, or is that alright? Any other info is appreciated. This would be primarily for gaming.

Atx or micro atx case? Several boards for around $60 plus shipping at newegg will meet your requirements. Your current ram is fine. Personally, I would go for a newer chipset. I recommend the biostar ta870+ for $90 plus shipping if your case can fit a full size atx board. It has the new sata 3.0 standard which is good for ssd's, if you ever upgrade to one.

Sorry, its a regular ATX case. It doesn't state it is, but there's a nice amount of room on all sides of the board (besides the back plate). It has 4 cd rom slots, and 2 floppy disc slots on the front as well.

My last computer was a regular atx, but the case was the size of a buick.

The mobo you're suggesting has zero feedback on newegg though. And I would probably like to have onboard video, just in case my video card fries out between paychecks so I'm not SOL.
