Need a motherboard for this build?

I'm trying to pick out a motherboard for this build. I was originally gonna buy an Asus Z97 but was told it was a waste because I didn't have an overclocking CPU. What's a good MOBO for this build?

If you really need an i7 for the multicore then spend $30 more and get the 4790k, not just for the overclocking, but for $30 it gives you 400Mhz higher base clock which is really good and definitely worth the extra cash. If you go for it then the asus z97 is a good board. However if you can't afford that then most h97 boards will do, however from experience I can say, the ASRock H97 Pro4 is great perform for it's value.
