need a new cpu

i am looking to buy a new cpu for around 150. my cpu now is AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 620 Processor (4 CPUs), ~2.6GHz and i would like to get one that is better and will go with my new graphics card asus hd 7770. im new to buying new componets so i dont know what to get but i would like to get one for a decent price and not spend all my money

Get a 7850-7870 at minimum past that a 7950, 760, or R9-280x are the things I recommend. Xfire 7770s are almost on par with a 7950. Not quite, but they get there in some games.

The reason I recommended those 2 other cards is that the 7770 will probably be outdated in a while and you want to have a nice GPU to play your games at 60 FPS or more. If you do purchase a better GPU I recommend you get the ASUS R9 270x, it has great cooling and it comes with a core clock of 1120MHz and 1280 Stream Processors; it's $209 for $10 more than the other cards it's worth it.
