[SOLVED] Need a PRO: Strange Problem with new Win10 Build

Windows 10 pro, just installed. Version 20H2. (Updates not yet started.)
Two RAID 1 arrays created in BIOS
MB: X570 AORUS Ultra, BIOS date Dec. 2019


I just installed Win10 Pro on RAID Array 1 (two M.2 drives) and that worked. However, Windows cannot see the larger RAID 1 (SATA) I'd planned to use for data. Storage Spaces can see it and let me create a storage space on it, and it looks good there.

The PROBLEM: Windows cannot see this array/storage space. Neither does it show in Disk Management. But it looks fine in Manage Storage Spaces. Windows could also see it during the installation process too.

Any ideas? Thanks!

It is quite possible that one or more SATA ports are disabled when using M.2 drives.

Section 1-8 in your user manual shows the applicable configurations.

Thanks USARET (USARMY here). But I think if the port were disabled then BIOS wouldn't see the drives, nor Windows' Storage Manager.

Given that there are two drives, only one of them might be in a disabled port. Thereby partially messing up the RAID 1 concept.

You know, thats a good idea. I've found that reseating components can magically fix some of the weird problems.
I'll do that when I get home in about 30ish minutes. Thanks!
