as it says in the title. I ahve been recommended to use www.dabs.com but you guys all use newegg. I dont particularly like the idea of buying abroad, unless the delivery is acceptable, this is why i ahve avoided newegg.

can you talk up newegg a little or can you offer an alternative for the UK?

cheers

I dont think there is a UK Company that has quite the range of product as newegg, but I've used

www.ebuyer.co.uk (Good because they paid for return postage)
www.mircodirect.co.uk
www.dabs.com
www.misco.co.uk (Used then they where simply.co.uk)
www.hydro-powered.co.uk (got my heatsink from here)

yep i use Ebuyer lots, very fast
Dabs.com also very good but the best i would say

www.novatech.co.uk excellent range of products cheap and deliv is very fast

and also used a NEW COMPANY FOR ME! called www.Scan.co.uk to buy my Asus EAX1950XT 😀 only place which did them and that came packed very well

best novatech.co.uk my opinion

>new company called scan.com

Scan.co.uk, tyvm. And they're not new, they've been selling stuff via mail-order and over the intermawebnet since 1987...

Novatech is ok. Ebuyer is also ok. Dabs I've never had a problem with. Aria is good, Microdirect also good, though Aria is much better than MD for returns. Overclock.co.uk and overclockers.co.uk have always been helpful - kustompcs.co.uk are ok.

www.overclockers.co.uk
this is the cheapest website i have found altogether i have probably ordered over £5000 worth of stuff with them and only had a problem once with a Gpu that was out of stock i will continue to use these guys.

Between Komplett.co.uk, eBuyer.com and computerprices.co.uk you need never overpay again!

I've spent thousands at eBuyer and Komplett and the only time I've had to RMA eBuyer they were very helpful, and it was free.

Overclockers are also good.

Like the others I've used ebuyer.com (though I'm having a bit of a farce on with city link at the mo, twerps are trying to deliver my graphics card -bought from ebuyer.com- to the wrong address and no-one's answering the phone at the local depot). But I also use Aria.co.uk and Microdirect.co.uk (and occassionally Dabs.com and Komplett.co.uk, I've found Overclockers to be a bit on the expensive side charging an average of £10 more than the companies I use on a regular basis) I've used aria, microdirect and ebuyer for the better part of four years with barely a hitch.

My current machine's parts have been bought from the first three and so far all of the parts for my new machine have been bought from them as well.

You better get another store, because newegg does not ship internationally.
