I just installed fs9 and I get a message box: "please log in with
administrator privileges and try again".
start/contrtol panel/administrative tools/computer managment/local users and
groups/users/george(my user name)/properties/member of as a member of
administrators.
What am I doing wrong??

Thank you in advance.

Hello!

Try creating a temporary admin account and installing from there. (Control
Panel / Users).

Failing that try booting the machine into safe mode (press F8 several times
just before you'd usually see the Windows logo when turning your machine on)
it'll give you a list of options if you choose 'safe mode' the machine will
boot with the bare minimum, so yes it'll look a little odd. On the login
screen it should now show the "Administer" account, log on to that and try
there also. However FS9 may simply refuse to install at all if you're in
safe mode, in which case just reboot your machine and we'll try and think of
something else. 😎

Okay,
I've come across this issue "Please login as administrator and try again" when trying to play Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 on Windows 7. It was working just fine. At first I was worried that it wouldn't work because I upgraded from XP to 7. I have't had any problems and I've been playing it with no issues for the past few months. THEN, a system update (the ones that come about when you shut down) came about on 9/9/2015. On 9/10/2015, I tried to play my simulator and received this message. I tried EVERYTHING from uninstalling and reinstalling the game, changing administrator settings the whole nine.
Then, it dawned on me. How about I just RESTORE my computer back to it original state BEFORE the update. ANNNND, like magic it worked. My game loaded right up no questions or denied access.
I think it had something to do with an update.
