Good day,

My friends late father's "Game Call" device has recently stop working. It takes 4 AA batteries but switching them to 9v we got some sound but it didn't last long before shutting off again. After taking the board apart I complete stump on why it won't turn on, I even put power directly to the board and got noise but it just shuts off until I moved the positive wire around and I'll get another sound. I measured the board and it's receiving power but there isn't any noise. If anybody has any idea what might be causing this please leave a reply because I don't see any other post because how old the call is. Thanks for any ideas.

The phots attached or both sides of the main board.

If I correctly understand your post you replaced four 1.5 volt batteries with one 9 volt battery - correct?

Depending on the battery configuration you forced 9 volts into where either 1.5 volts or 6 volts was "expected".

My thought is that some component was fried as a result.
