Need help about Geforce GT 420

I'm going to buy a PC which include GeForce GT420, I wonder if this card can play every game smoothly like Crysis 2 and battlefield 3,which is coming this year.I like those action shooting games but I don't need extreme settings, high or very high is enough for me. This is its specs:

What resolution are you playing at? No matter what it is you need a better GPU than that to play BF3 on high settings. A GT420 is not a gaming card, its for like media stuff...

Maybe i'm playing it in 1024x768, if that's not enough, can u suggest me some that help improving the performance.Because it is sold in package so I'm not sure that I can change the GPU. I searched them on FRys.It costs $900.

You would be better off building your own computer and putting it together for that price. I just build my aunt a much better computer for less than that. Even if you are playing at 1024x768 I would recommend a better card than that.. thats a really low end card.

oh, i see. But I'm not good at building computer. Do you know where can I choose the hardware and have them builded for me? Can you suggest me another specs and how much do they cost in total?

Building computers is as easy as building Lego sets or Ikea furniture. If you want the best bang for your buck, build an i3 Sandy system and pair that with an AMD (5/6)770. That should more than cover your resolution.

Yup, just gotta know which end is up. Should take you no more than 30 minutes for assembly and making sure that everything powers on plus an hour or two to let Win7 install + download drivers. If you have an old, broken PC you can use, try taking that apart first. Might give you an idea on how it works.

that computer gives you a way overkill cpu for general use and a GPU that is completely useless. Most PC places will put the stuff together for you if you pick the parts you want if your not sure how to do it for a modest fee.

That one makes a LOT more sense the the first. A CPU that isn't overkill, but overclockable and great for gaming, and a MUCH better GPU.

Regardless I can promise you can still build your own for cheaper.

I forgot. Is Overclocking good for PC?, I'm afraid it will produce more heat from the CPU and might damage my PC.

if your not quite sure on how to build a pc, you certainly should NOT look into overclocking. It is for advanced PC builders only. With the setup your looking at you should not need to overclock anything anyway. When the pc starts to feel slow in a few years you can look into overclocking and do lots of research first.

This is more than enough for those games. It should run smooth on medium in both games. I would reccomend upgrading to a GT 740 if you can, though.
