Need Help, Amd CPU for HD 6950 2G

Hello Fella...

I want to know which Amd CPU that i can match for my HD 6950 2G...? My old CPU Amd Phenom 4x 955 are damage so can someone suggest me one Amd CPU.?

The budget is cheaper than my old CPU cause i really doesn't have a money : (

If you have the heatsink from your old 955, you could get this OEM 820 for $105.

If you don't have the heatsink, you could grab an Athlon II x4 for five bucks less that comes with a heatsink.

If that's still a little too pricey, you could grab a triple-core Athlon II (or triple-core phenom if you can find one) for ~$70

After that, I guess you could go dual-core, but you would probably see bottlenecks at that point.

Dual core... are you mean intel dual core.?

are you sure that your CPU is damaged? i wouldnt want to go any lower than a x4 955 for that GPU.

Emmm.. This is my pc condition after i format my pc... and install all driver motherboard and utilities... When i want to O.C my Processor my PC hang and restart automatically...

I use all type of O.S but the same thing happen from you all experience thic could be my processor problem or my mobo problem..? : ( i really sad cause i wait for to long for my new card and now had a problem.. : (

does the PC run good if you dont OC the CPU? because this sounds more like user error than any hardware damage, if the processor was broken the PC wouldnt boot.

Ok.. i just try run for normal clock like 3.20Ghz but my pc also restart.

If i not do anything my processor run at 880mhz all time... Any idea..?

And i want to know... If i take Intel core 2 duo or Core 2 Quad... Will it Bottleneck my Graphic card...?
