Need help finding a power supply

i don't know how to tell what kind of power supply i need.

just got a new graphics card. it recommends a 400+ W power supply, i currently have a 250W. so i guess i'm just looking for a 400+w power supply compatible with my PC, i'm not sure of different types or brands. don't want to act like i know what i'm doing and order the wrong thing. thanks for any help.
