Need Help Identifying MoBo

I was given this Motherboard with a P3-450 installed. It's an ATX, with onboard sound. I don't know who made it, but I want to find out. It has a bar code on the bottom and what I think is a serial # as follows MB-MB862ZX-ATX. Any help is appreciated. Let me know if other details are required.

That's quite an unusual situation. I'm not an expert, but I don't suppose the serial number is going to help. You can either ask the store you got it from or figure out what it is, by knowing what chipset it has on (probably i440bx), how many pci, isa slots it has. That's the best I can think of. If I may ask, Why do you want to know who the manufacterer is anyway?

HMmm.. Been there...
Plug the MB on and turn it on than in the bottom left
corner there will be a number copy it (press Pause in BOOT)
Than there are some sites that take this number apart by vendors and MBs type (I dont remeber thos sites thou .. Sorry).

The board probably uses a ZX chipset going by that serial # so all we have to go by is that it's a slot 1 board, ATX form factor, ZX chipset and on-board sound.

The bios string is the easiest way to identify an unknown board if the board is bootable. You can use this site to match your code:-

http://www.ping.be/bios/

If the board is not bootable give us some more info to work with such as the number and type of slots on-board and any numbers screen printed on the board surface.

They got excellent resources for ID 'ing just about any card or chipset.

Also try to read the large chips on your motherboard that may help.
