ASUS P4P8x SE.

My question is that i see alot of different video cards out there some OEM, some PCI express i have little knowledge in this area of video cards. i would like to upgrade to a 7800 but not sure which I can use as some are different

http://www.newegg.com/product/produ...N82E16814130256

which is eVGA 256-P2-N516 Geforce 7800GT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 VIVO PCI Express x16 Video Card

I have around 300$ to spend and trying to get the best for my money / compatible

i am just afraid if i buy the one from newegg it will not work and ill lose my money ya know. i see the AGP, OEM, PCI Express terms thrown around and not sure if they will work with my computer.

Thank you for your help and suggestions

I was afraid of that would getting another mother board be something better for the long run. I use myu system for Heavy gaming.

thank you for any help

Prozac said it. Don't throw more than 100$ for now. At the and of the year go for a new rig. Questions like the new M2 socket, Windows Vista, NVIDIA 7900 should be clear by then.

thank you guys for the help, I think im going to hit the 7800gs for now and save / shop for a new system. Thank you again all for the help and information
