Need help! overclocking not working?

hello! i overclocked my q9300 from 2.5 to 2.7 it isn't showing in cpu-z but it shows up in the Bios. Does anyone know what the problem is?? i cant figure it out...
please help!

MSI 750i SLI
4Gigs(2x2) ram 800mhz
EVGA 8800GT
500GB sata

Hmm. What exactly does CPU-z report for FSB and CPU speed? What is the multiplier it lists? Are you aware that there is a mechanism in the CPU to reduce the chip speed (its multiplier) when the cpu is at idle or low use?
