Hi. Today I thought I would take out all the fans I’m my case and clean them. When I got to the cpu fan that’s where problems have started. First when I just wanted to take the fan off the whole bloody thing pulled out, cpu and all. Now I have to get it back in and the problem is that I can't get the cpu off the hs so I can but it back in. My question is how do I go about removing the cpu from the heat sink. I have tried to twist it off, use a plastic scraper to push it off. I don’t want to try and use to much force lest I break the bloody thing. Does anyone have any recommendation o\as to what I can do?

Thx

My brother always use a flat screwdriver when CPU loves the heatsink too much. Next time I will told hime to use a plastic condom bag and toss the love bird into the cold. That way, they be cold at each other and their relationship will end momentary. After applying the new lubricate, the happy love bird will make up and start having sex again.

I use a pocket knife. Of course, I'm good with a pocket knife, you might be clumsy for all I know!

Thx. I managed to get it off after using a little alcohol (for me to steady the nerve’s) and some acetone applied with a paint brush to the edge of the cpu I managed to push it off with the plastic scraper. If there is ever a next time I'll try the freezer and plastic bag trick.
