Hello,

I am digging into a build for gaming.
I need a build around GeForce GTX 1070 DirectX 12 VCGGTX10708XGPB-OC 8GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express.

I have that. Looking in getting parts with in a month.

Budget: 500-600$ on everything to support the 1070. I have a mouse, keyboard and a monitor. I just need the PC.

System usage:

Gaming.

Do you need to buy OS: Yes / No
Please note that if you're using an OEM license of Windows, you will need a new one when buying a new motherboard.

Yes planning on buying windows 10. 90$ on amazon. Any cheaper options?

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: (e.g.: newegg.com, ncix.com -- to show us selection & pricing)

No preferred options. I do have many stores available around me. For example I have a microcenter i can reach for. (IL - Chicagoland/Westmont) to maybe help with purchase of a CPU and a MOBO combo. (For ex. I5-7600K with a z270 mother board are around 340-350$ combo)

Location:
Northwest Chicago/West suburbs, Illinois

Parts Preferences:
No preferences. I don't care if the CPU is intel or AMD. just want a good build.

Overclocking: Maybe? Not necessary.

Your Monitor Resolution: (e.g.: 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1440x900, 1600x1200, 1680x1050, 1920x1080, 1920x1200 or if you're upgrading please state what you'd want to get)
My monitor:

BenQ 27-Inch Gaming Monitor - LED 1080p HD Monitor - 1ms Response Time for Ultra Fast Console Gaming (RL2755HM) (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

Comments: (e.g.: Need to have a window and lots of bling, I would like a quiet PC.)

Don't need it to be flashy. But I do enjoy some open look in the case. The quieter the better for me and my space. If it's much better to go over my budget by 50-100 and it will give me a much better pc. But i don't mind going under also, of course

Thank you everyone before hand for any suggestions.

Solution
1070 is kinda overkill for 1080p gaming unless it's 144hz to be honest.
However, see if this build suits you:

Solution

Would it make be better to buy a i5-7600K Processor for 20 dollars more?

Yes it would, but that's an unlocked processor meaning it supports overclocking, but the motherboard won't allow overclocking, you're going to need a Z270 motherboard to overclock.
So I wouldn't recommend that.
