So, i have a i5 4590 with a rx 580 and 16gb of ram, as you could probably guess i need a cpu upgrade. i was looking at budget cpus with at least 6 cores but i would like to have 8 cores, problem is i have to be on a tight budget. i was thinking of going for a xeon E5-1650 V2 or one with 8 cores i dont know.... but would it be ok for gaming, games like rust and ark? or can anyone recommend other cpus that are under 50-70?
Thanks.

also i have 4 cores, on the i5 4590. its not enough to run rust or could it be not enought ghz ?
i5 4590 with RX 580 will causing a bottleneck in some games. You can up your CPU to i7 4790 (4C 8T) in the same socket LGA 1150.
oh, my bad if i was to get a e5-1650 v2 i would get the lga 2011, my current socket is lga 1150.
(if needed i can upgrade mobo aswell)
Although E5-1650 v2 has 6C 12T, they are older than i7 4790, in some games i7 4790 will perform better. Then, E5 will cost you more, they have 130W TDP, means you need a good psu, and good coller.
As far as I can tell the 4590 and 1650 V2 don't have the same socket. Meaning you'd need a new motherboard. For gaming I think that 4 cores is plenty, for the moment. I think in a couple of years you'll start to see better parallelization and support for more cores, now that AMD has finally rocked Intel out of complacency. The most recent processor I can find for that socket is the i7-5775C the fastest processor appears to be the i7-4790k with a 4.4Ghz boost. For a 5th gen processor you'll probably need a bios update. But the 4790k should drop in. E-bay lists the 4790k for as low as 120 (YMMV). I'm sure if you dig around you can find something close. 4790(non-k) can go for as low as $45. I only looked for about 5 minutes.
