need help

i have an athlon xp2500 on an asus a7vn8x board with kingston hyper x ddr 512mb ram a nvida geforce 6800 with windows xp pro my problem is that the machine just locks up not sure why been fighting it for about a month sent board to asus they said nothing wrong replaced everthing and still same lock up .....help is greatly appreciated

What are you doing when it locks up?

What do your temps look like at idle and load, what about voltages?

temps are fine really just web surfing or playing tribes 2 for anywhere from 30 seconds to five min. now netscape wont come up either

Have you tried a fresh install of windows?

yeah i have 27 processes running in task manager is that normal?

Do a virus scan, and run adaware. Give your hsf a good cleaning. Dust the board off as well.

27 processes really is not out of the ordinary, as long as you recognize them. If you have stuff like a firewall and such running, you can get up to 27.
