need lots of advice on first gaming pc build

I am building a new computer, i have spent alot of time for research and there are lots of things i really cant decide. Maybe you can help me.
My budget is max 950€ and i will be using 1920x1080 monitor.

Thermal paste: no idea, but i will research about it, feel free to suggest thermal pastes.

Total price was 885 euros so i have 65 euros for Thermal paste, fans, case.
If you want to build your own version of pc, please do not build lga1150 (older generation) as i think it is not futureproof. If you want to build your own version of computer, you can use pcpartpicker deutschland, we have similar prices here.

So i built lga 1150 too just for curiosity to see if i could get it cheaper, the answer is no... had no idea which case and mb to go for.

anyone help me choose gpu, case, thermal paste and fans from site mentioned before?

So i made some research and found out that applying thermal paste to i5-6500 doesnt help much, just -1celsius, so i guess its not worth it. I read some forums and found 2 suggested cases: NZXT Source 210 and Cooler Master NSE-300-KKN1.

I guess n300 is better choice? Now i need your opinions with r9 390 vs gtx 970, both are twin frozr v editions and same price. Please explain which one you would choose and why. As i read, there are more Nvidia optimized and featured games than Ati.
