Need new internals to support my GPU...

Hi all,

I am still running what's in my sig with the GTX580 superclock. Looking to replace my motherboard, CPU, and RAM with the cheapest bang for the buck to support the newest games coming out at high settings. Help please?

The best CPU for the money is currently the i5-2500K. Pair that with a good Z68 board and you're golden for the next several years.

I don't know what kind of budget you're working with here.

Would like to stay under $400 though i spent more than that on just the GPU. I suppose with my current setup I'm bottlenecking the 580.

Too some degree, yes. Although since you only need the CPU/Mobo/RAM, you can easily fit under $400.

The 2500K is $200-220 (~180 if you can get one at a Microcenter), and you can get decent boards for less than $150. 8GB RAM is really cheap now, with good G.Skill kits coming in at around $40-50, and they go on sale very often.
