need to Disable Euro symbol hotkey

On windows XP Sp3 I press the combinations Control + Alt + 4
As described here:

It types out the Euro symbol.

How do I disable this hotkey since it interferes with another universal hotkey.

I don't know but check the language region to see if changed it from north American English to uk .English if so set it back to north American apply and see if it resolves ???

Thanks for the reply, not working though, changed regional option to united states and in advanced tab to english united states, restarted and the hotkey still triggers the Euro symbol.
