Need to extend my wifi range

Hello, I like to extend my wifi range about 500-600M. I need wifi to reach my garage. What is the best solution here ?
Should I buy some kind of wifi antenna and receiver at the other end?

You can upgrade your router or modem router, whichever you use, just make sure its supported by your internet company. EDIT: When I say upgrade your router or modem/router I say this in case whatever your using currently dosent have great range on it, in case that wasnt implied directly enough.

You are not going to get 500m from any router 100m is the number you see from router manufactures and you get nowhere near that.

That is a huge distance sounds like it is another building on a large property.

Pretty much you are going to have to use directional outdoor bridge equipment to connect the buildings and then run a AP in the remote building. You can look at devices from ubiquiti. It depends how much money you want to spend and how much speed you want.
