Need Windows Vista for Laptop (female without knowledge)

Hi I really need to find a Windows Vista to install on my other laptop which has been wiped clean before I purchased it used.
Is there a simple way to get this software needed to run the laptop?
I have no knowledge of computers, would anyone have any suggestions for me?

Since it has been wiped clean, you have a couple of options:

1) Buy restore media from the manufactuer (a good choice if you're not looking to spend a lot of money).

2) Upgrade to Windows 7. Don't get me wrong, I liked Vista despite it's bad reputation... but I do prefer Win 7.
