[SOLVED] Network with EOP limits to 100Mbps

Hi guys,

i was looking for any similar trouble but i haven't found any.
I am paying for 500Mbps, my Modem (https://www.vodafone.cz/pece/internet-data/datova-zarizeni/compal-ch7465lg/) is capable of 1GBps.
From that modem I've got cat5e (newly bought) running to Powerline device ( https://www.tp-link.com/en/home-networking/powerline/tl-pa4010-kit/) which should handle my current speed (around 600Mbps, but that's aproximate).
On other side of Powerline is cat5e (again newly bought) ending in Asus router RT-AC51U, which should be capable of those speeds (i hope so).

Speed test shows only 20 Mbps, when checking modem setup I can see only 100Mbps sent through LAN ports. I can understand why is the speed off 80Mbps.
But why is my modem sending only 100Mbps instead of full 500Mbps (or nearby that speed)? By checking the modem, there's no setting to do about the speed.
Even if it would sent 300-400Mbps I would be more happy than now.

If a new router is needed, what can you recommend as best option for my network? Unfortunately cable is not in option 😢😢😢

Thanks a lot for any tip!!

Solution
It seems that the router ports are only 10/100 BaseT

RJ45 for 10/100 BaseT for WAN x 1, RJ45 for 10/100 BaseT for LAN x 4

Look at the specifications page for your powerline adapters -- https://www.tp-link.com/en/home-networking/powerline/tl-pa4010-kit/#specifications 100Mbit ethernet ports.
You will never get more than 90Mbit.
AV600 is a pretty old (and low performance) standard for powerline network hardware.
Why you are getting 100Mbit when connected directly to the CH7465? What do the LEDs on the modem/router show? They should show a gigabit link speed. Does it ?

You both were right.
@kanewolf - direct connection to Modem allows me to use 1GB.
@Emerald - missed that info

Do you guys recommend any devices instead of mine current ones?
Or it doesn't matter just to have 1GB Lan port?

Thank you so so much. I was looking for it but really badly as I can see :/

Most routers all you do is need to get gigabit wan/lan and even fairly inexpensive ones can run close to 1gbit. Key differences will be the wifi.

None of the powerline unit can even come close to 1gbit. You might get 300mbps with the units that have a 2000 number.

The only non ethernet technology that can get gigabit it MoCA but you need coax cable in both rooms to use moca.

You have to stop believing the marketing numbers printed on the boxes.

Just like they lie about the av600 and put 100mbps on it these so called 1300 powerline devices will get nowhere close to 1gbit. They can't even get 500mbps plug into the same power strip. You might if you are very lucky get 300mbps in a nearby room. That is about as good as it gets using powerline technology.

The wifi6 router you list should be able to do gigabit wan/lan. It is a low end wifi6 router though so don't expect anything too special on the wifi.
