Hi,

I haven't built a PC in a solid 10 years, and I'm looking to get back into it. Can anyone give me some insight on this setup? Am I missing something? Do I have anything unnecessary? I'm going to be using this mostly for gaming and music. Thanks.

The H100 isn't much more, so I've swapped the H60 for that on my part list, thanks man.

Anyone else have any changes they'd make? Looking to pull the trigger on this ASAP. Thanks guys.

Depends on your budget.

But i think if you change the motherboard from extreme 4 to the extreme 6. There isnt much difference but the Extreme6 has extra x16 PCIe 2.0 slot @ x4 and a display port connector and firewire. £30 or $50

You can also upgrade the HDD to a minimum of 500GB for an extra $30 or £25

ermm... The psu is a waaaaaay over kill in my opinion... you can settle for a 650.. which will save you money.

mayb include an SSD to boost the system.

On cooling in my opinion seems to be okay.

Thanks for the replies. Right after I posted I saw that it only totals to around ~570W so dropping the 850W to 600 saves me quite a bit. I have a spare 500GB HDD to use for data, so that's why the 128GB SSD is all that's listed for that.

For the time being, I think I should be safe with what the Extreme4 has, but I'll definitely keep that in mind for any future upgrades!

I'm not sold on water over cheap air unless you really want max overclocks, but that looks like a solid system. Unlike the others, I'd go for a bigger SSD than the SSD/HDD combo.

Edit: On the PSU, you need to scale it back up if you still think you may crossfire down the road. 600W won't cut it with 500W in GPUs and a 100W CPU plus other components. Minimum 750.
