I am looking to get a full AMD build within the budget of 2k. I can go over to close to 2.5k but I feel like I don't need to. How good is this build? Should I tweak anything? I want advice on this build I'm looking at. https://newegg.io/675af70

If your motherboard is updated to the latest BIOS version, you could drop in a Ryzen 9 5000 series processor on the motherboard but at that point, you're better off looking at a B550 chipset motherboard. Retain your existing ram kit, maybe look for a tighter timing ram kit. I'd replace the Samsung drive with something from Crucial just to avoid Samsung for the time being. You didn't include/mention the make and model of your case that'll house the build. I'd add a smaller capacity SSD for the OS and launchers, the games can be on the larger SSD(I'm assuming you're building this for gaming). In my excitement, I forgot to ask, what will this build be used for? Include app's that'll be used to tax the platform with.

Might want to also state what you're currently working on so we've got a better picture of your build serving as an upgrade(vertical wise as opposed to a horizontal upgrade).

My case im going with is a NZXT H710i. And I want to redo my whole build I have now since its from 2013 to 2015. Nothing I have now will with work with new parts. Yes im building this for gaming and im hoping to not have to upgrade it for a few years. Its going to be for mainly playing all kind sof games, alot of triple A ones. Alot of indie games, and day to day watching videos on Twitch, Youtube, etc. I hope that answered everything. I did consider looking at a B550 motherboard but thought it wasnt good enough and scratched it. I also wanted to get a higher CPU but the 5000 series needs a AM5 chipset (I think I might be wrong) and most builds dont house AM5 just yet so its hard to find parts thatll work with it.

You might have your info crossed...Ryzen 5000 is AM4, Ryzen 7000 is AM5. The former is the last lineup of processors/APU's for the AM4 socket, an adieu per se before ushering in the AM5 socket.

Unlike that NZXT this case has decent airflow and plenty of room to work with.

Thats right it was the 7000 series that is AM5.
