This was my first build, I assembled it yesterday night, I followed every step carefully and when I turned it on everything was working fine.

I was happy thinking that now the hard part was gone, boy was I wrong. As I boot into my USB flash drive with Windows it either gets stuck on the motherboard logo (Asus) or in Windows logo. Then I tried changing some stuff in the BIOS and the boot order and it got to a slightly thinner Windows logo and it froze as soon as the dots started spinning and the computer shut down.
I searched for fixes online and I couldn't find much about it. Tried changing some settings on the BIOS, putting it back on default with no success.
I grabbed the same flash drive and the SSD and tried to install Windows on another computer and it worked with no problems.

Right now I'm thinking about putting in the SSD with Windows installed to see if the computer can boot through it. I will only be able to to that tomorrow though.
I'm worried that I might have messed up something in the assembly but when I check the BIOS and even the motherboard's lights everything looks fine.
One thing I remembered was that I forgot to put on the motherboard standoffs but I think that's because the case already had them in the right places.
Thank you for reading.

Solution
Remove the power connection from the storage drive you don't use as boot drive.

To select the boot device during system startup, press F8 when the Asus Logo appears.
It all looks good. No DVD.. a shame.. DVD drivers are generic in Win10. However, the USB is another story. the install drivers might not support fat thumbs.
try an 8gb or smaller. USB should load faster than the DVD.. but still it might take a few mins of blank screen.
In your case you indicated the display stalls.. you haven't gotten to the first setup screen..

I installed windows on the SSD on another machine with the same flash drive, it worked. Then I took the SSD into the original machine (the one I wrote in the thread) and it doesn't boot, it just goes back into BIOS as if the SSD was empty.

It just stalls, I've left it there for like 30 min, it won't do anything.

Made with Media Creation Tool. Tried with another version as well and the same problem ocurred.

64 bit. I've made that change back and forth, made no difference.

Did you ever get this fixed. I've got a very similar rig to the one you've built (my card is a GTX 1050 though)and am having similar problems. I get to a screen and it asks me for drivers, but it doesnt accept drivers from the mobo or the graphic card.

I'm having a variation of this problem with the exact same mobo. I bought it this weekend and was able to get the system up and running, but before I could clone it, it got borked by a bad Windows Insider build. Since then, I have been unable to get Win10 into safe mode to reset it, nor can I boot from the DVD to do a clean install. So today I returned the mobo, the memory and the CPU cooler and exchanged them for the same brand. Same thing happened again, which is leading me to believe one of two things: Maybe this board doesn't like my particular brand of memory (Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 32GB DDR4-2400) or the CPU's bad, but if that was the case it wouldn't even POST.

I've been trying to find something in BIOS that would explain this, but I haven't. The system was up and running for over an hour before the problems began.

I fixed my problem by updating to the latest bios. Everything was peachy after that
My build had an Intel i7 9700 and the motherboard would not fully boot the windows 7 or 10 installation DVD or USB flash media. Bios version was September 2018 #0422~. Installed the April 2019 version and it installed Windows 10 all the way. What a pain that some of these boards ship with outdated BIOS. Motherboard just didn't understand how 9th gen CPU worked. Hope this helps save someone else time. Took me a few hours to figure out!
