Hi,

I've recently built my new gaming PC.

Specs:
Motherboard - MSI MAG B650
CPU: Ryzen 7 7700k
GPU: my old smsi aero GTX 1080
RAM: 2X16GB DDR5 Corsair vengance
psu: 1000w Thermaltake Toughpower GF1
Running latest update on windows 11

Im getting this wierd thing that never happened on my old gaming pc where after about 5 minutes or so of a game. It decides to crash and close the application( tested MW2 and Dream light valley on xbox game pass). I've looked at my windows errors and this is what I could find. My guess is that its pushing its self to hard and not restricting itself therefore crashing. I could be completley wrong.

Thanks,
I would start by running MEMTEST for 4 - 6 hours to ensure you have a stable motherboard setup.

But "5 min after start" is often a cooling problem. Are your temps stable for everything ? Have you tried with the sidepanel off the case? Does that change the time to fail ?

Hi Kanewolf,

When I've ran the MEMTEST 1390 errors came up during the random number sequence test for test 8.

Any ideas what this could mean?

Just to add on to that the test failed on the 2nd time round of testing random number sequence. Test has aborted due to too many errors.

Then there is your problem. I would start by disabling any XMP/DOCP you have enabled. RETEST.

You may have to RMA/replace your RAM.
Stopped XMP and that worked. Just means im getting 4800 instead of 5600 out of my RAM. no idea why that was causing the issue.

Thanks for the help. Was starting to get worried haha. :)
