BUDGET RANGE: $250-$300 after rebates

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming (Diablo 3, MW3 and future COD titles, Witcher, etc) on highish settings

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: ATI Radeon 4850 and 650W Power Supply who’s brand escapes me, Antec I believe.

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: i5-2500k (OC’d to 4.0ghz with Hyper 212+), ASRock Pro3 Gen3 Z68 motherboard, 16GB DDR3 1600 RAM, 500GB Hard Drive

PARTS PREFERENCES: None, though I have heard that Nvidia drivers are superior to AMD.

OVERCLOCKING: Maybe

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: No

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920x1080

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Put this build together earlier this week but held off on a new graphics card until I could do some research. Looking around for hours and I have found a few cards that peak my interest.

The 7850 is more tempting because of the PCIE 3.0, it being the current series and that benchmarks here on TH show that it is about the same level as the 570, but again, I have been reading the the AMD drivers are terrible. Any thoughts or suggestions are much appreciated. Looking to have this card for basically two years before I start looking at an upgrade.

7850 its your best choice i think.
I know it will be over your budget range, but cant you catch a 7870? thats the perfect match for your brutal sistem!

Out of the two, 570 vs 7850, i'd choose the 7850. It may have 2-3 lower fps in some games but it consumes much less power.

I have that Sapphire 7850 card and it is excellent. I would also recommend XFX's black edition 7850. It's $15 more for a 975mhz clock
