Additional Comments: I do lots of graphics editing with large files, minor sound/video editing and multiple/simultaneous 1500+ page PDF file browsing. I'm also looking into getting into some entry-level single-monitor gaming, though probably not too hard-core

I'm researching the pieces needed to assemble myself a new workhorse to replace my 5-year-old build. I've spent a great deal of time researching and reading here, and believe I've assembled a list of what I'll need to build something that will allow me to continue to upgrade as finances allow, but since I haven't been keeping up much on the latest technologies, so I'm hoping for some constructive advice.

I know you said you had a case but since it was 5 years ago, it might not be as good as newer models. The case in the combo is a recommended buy and has the psu mount on the bottom. I know you wanted AMD but Bulldozers are not going to be better than i5-2500k from the leaked benchmarks and the price.

With this, you get the best CPU and great components for a cheaper than usual price. About $60 in savings.
