Question New CPU; fTPM corrupted error, pressed N and now no monitor signal

I have just upgraded from a ryzen 5 2600 to a ryzen 7 5700x, running on an asus prime b450m-a. CPU fan was going crazy on startup then calmed down, and I got an error message saying the fTPM was corrupted or structure changed.

I have bitlocker enabled on my OS drive (I have windows 10), and I selected the option to not reset the fTPM (pressing N). After this, my monitor shows no signal.

I have tried cutting AC power and removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes, and the system will power on like normal but with no signal on the monitor. I'm hoping I haven't busted anything permanently.

I have to ask the usual question with situations like this but is the bios on the board up to date with a non beta version of it?
Because you've changed CPUs, bit locker will act like its hyper paranoid & give you a hard time because of hardware change. I had a similar problem with just installing a new gpu recently in Win 11, which I find a pathetic excuse for it to spit the dummy like that so to speak... since then I have permanently disabled bit locker, its more trouble than its worth imo. But apart from the OS side of things, just be sure the bios is up to date to accommodate newer CPUs, load optimized defaults upon first boot & see what happens.

Thanks for the reply. I did recently update the bios to a newer version for other reasons, and I checked on the asus website to make sure that it has support for the newer cpu.

One thing I tried is putting the old cpu back in, but I'm still getting no signal on the monitor.

I fixed the issue on advice from another website. I finally got windows to boot properly and installed the new gpu and all of the memory. I'm still in the process of re-encrypting the drives so that they automatically unlock on startup. Thanks for the assistance.
