Building a new gaming rig soon and this is what i figured would be pretty decent.
Trying to get the basic components down so that I can easilly add a 2nd display card for SLI in case i need it.
Currently it will run WinXP so i know the 4G ram is a bit of a waste but i plan on upgrading to Win7 64 bit at some point.
I don't plan on doing over clocking just want a rig that will run my games at decent speed on 1900x1200 resolution.
Possibly the only over clocking to do would be to get the memory clocks up to par with the memory listed or other similar memory.
I don't think I want to pay the premiums of getting a reliable i7 build done compared to this one as the low end MB's seem to be plagued by all kinds of problems and the high end ones get way too expensive.

Would appriciate any comments.
Budget in the $1000-$1200 range.
Update:
Here is an update on my thoughts currently, still somewhat undecided between the 2 MB's, the Asus does seem like a better board but due to possible bios issues of not supporting the 955 i'm still undecided. Since according to reviews if I don't get a preflashed 0902 minimum, there will be issues getting the board to work. While the MSI seems to work out of the box, and can/must then be flashed with the latest bios.
As for the case I kinda like the looks of the Lian-Li and the aluminum construction. It also should have sufficient airflow.
Hard drive seems to be a tossup, I've had Seagate's in the past though and they have been working fine as long as sufficient cooling is available in the case. And the speed also seems to be very close so that should be ok.
Case : Lian-Li PC-7BYCF or Equal
Power Supply : Corsair HX850W
Motherboard : Asus M4A78T Deluxe or MSI 790FX-GD70

Memory : OCZ Platinum AMD Edition 4G DD3 OCZ3P1600LVAM4GK
Display Card : Sapphire Radeon 4890 1Gb
Hard drive : Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB 7200 RPM Sata 3.0Gb
Optical drive : Plextor 22X PX-850SA
