Greetings place of many great advises.

Budget: 0(200)-300 - maybe squeeze it to 330 for a 970 card but that's .. more on this below..
- located in Denmark (re: shipping and availability)
- mostly broke as a joke but I refuse being too cheap with my computer, for all it does for me, it deserves better.

**Im not buying amd stuff** (sorry amd..)
- also prefer no sli cuz .. I'll probably break something if I try that (I haven't looked into how it works or what I'd need, plus it seems it can cause some issues so.. pref no)

My thingie:
i7 3770 @ 3.40 .. 3.90
8gb ram
64bit win7 homeprem
gtx560 (1gb - I think)
23" (I think) 7 year old acer tn panel)

-gfx with a fancy fan cooler I bought cuz it was at like 90-100c and lagging in fallout new vegas, down to 35-45 after cooler :)

Core questions:
- Will I need to get a new card to run these 2 screens of mine? (still waiting for the new one)
- Will I need a certain amount of graphics memory to run a 1440p screen?
- Will I need a certain amount of graphics memory to run a 1440p screen on a 27" thing?
- Busses, how much is the bit value gonna matter for my setup?

My situation / problem:
Im adding a second monitor - a qnix 27" evo 2 something fancy ahva ips with 1440 res stuff - to my setup for more screen space and..
-- well it was mostly just for more screen space but then someone told me about ips monitors taking me off on a long journey exploring monitor panelstuff and graphicscards now as well ..
- so now also for fancier gaming looks and my amateur game dev'ing (gfx stuff)

I've checked a lot of stuff here on tom'sHARDWARE, such as reviews of cards vs cards and I've seen this hierarchy
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-7.html

- where my 560 - which came with my comp which I bought 2-3 years ago now at a sub1k dollars price - is "annoyingly" far up..

Im bouncing back and forth between not getting anything, getting 4gig 750 (ca. 200), getting 4gig 970 (ca. 330), and something in between.. if anything at all..

This is where I'm looking primarily altho amazon is also an option as well as anywhere is that's not so shady it could inspire a new eminem album...

What gets me to wobble is that since Im spending money anyway, 200 is too much to simply 'enable 2screen setup' .. but 330 is a lot of money.. so maybe I can cut some of the vram off and get a fancy card at 230-280 - or even a lot less than that!..

fx.
Gtx750 is on same tier as my 560, there's a 750 at 200 bucks with 4gigs of ram and if I need more than 2gigs of rams, this seems to be the cheapest buy I can get..
Which annoys me cuz 200 bucks for a card on same level as the one I have just with more memory!? no! then I want to spend a little more to get something that's better, seeing that I have to dish out money anyway.

The 970 I'm kinda keen on since it seems to be a high tier card with most of all the good stuff for future stuffs, but if the cheapo version has some major lack compared to 'the right' 970 then..
In the case of "dont need 4gigs of vram" a 670 might get me off way cheaper than 970 yet still quite a good bit stronger than a 750 with 4gigs..

Also 128bit busses vs 256bit ones.. 750 on 128 while others have 256bit ones.. I would *rly* like to go for a not128 cuz it's starting to appear obsolete-like..
I hope I've not been overdoing it with the info, tried to stay short and precise but if that'd been possible I bet I could've answered the question myself ;p -- but things are a mess in my head and I need professional help.. 😛

if 750, then 2gb or 4gb?... - and will I be able to have both monitors goin at same time?

I think you should go for the GTX 960 from MSI. It has a great cooler and will play all games at 1440p a lot better than the GTX 750 as Andrei suggested. I know it has a 128 bus but this card will still be a LOT better than the 750. There is also a 4GB version, that will cost you a little bit more, but still less than the 970.

I would buy a Radeon R9 380 4GB, but you don't want AMD, so the best option in my opinion is the GTX 960 4GB. With this card you will be able to turn up the settings quite high even on 4k.

Whoa there, you wont be running games @ 4k on a 960, unless you want to watch it as a slide show.

What he said, you will at least need a GTX 970 or higher. I would go for GTX 970 SLI or a GTX 980TI

the 2gb has support for 2 monitors, the 4gb is better but for one monitor

If you're looking to play games at 1440p then the 750 is not a good choice... a 750ti is at best suited for gaming @900p anything 1080 and higher you'll need to lower graphics drastically in order to get decent frames... a 970 is at the lower edge of what I'd recommend for 1440p simply due to the 3.5GB VRAM... if you really want to be safe I'd say go with a R9 390 or a 980 (non ti)... the 390 would be the cheapest of these and is also what I would recommend, unless you have some specific reasons for going the Nvidia route...

From what I have seen (From Nvidia) You will probably want to go 980 or higher.
the 970 can work as it had 4gb of vram but .5gb of that vram is slower so it will affect performance at 4k.

Some AMD cards have actually have shown to have an edge at 4k while performing worse at 1080.
I'm guessing AMD decided to focus on 4k gaming and letting their cards take a hit at lower resolutions while Nvidia decided to improve performance at the resolution most people are playing at while leaving 4k to high end cards.

Ether way you need a card with 4gb+ of VRAM and no, SLI and CF 2gb cards are not going to work in this case. You want a single card with 4gb+
