New GPU, new problem.

I currently have a SAPPHIRE X1550 PCIE on my P4M900-M7 SE motherboard.
And I bought a new GPU: nVIDIA 8800 GT.
The problem is that my mobo doesn't make that "usual" beep that everything is all right.
The screen also remains black and doesn't do a thing.

I just start the PC, everything sounds good but mobo just won't continue to boot, or enter the bios.

Please give me a hand.

When I run that SAPPHIRE everything is all right, but when I replace it with that nVIDIA, mobo is falling apart.

It's a DELUX 400W.

I forgot to mention that I had to use an adaptor to create a 6 pin cable to power up my new GPU. (8800GT)

Could be your issue, try returning the adapter and get a replacement to see if that works

I don't think that's gonna work, I just bought that adaptor.

I get that, but I've had countless faulty adapters before, mainly Molex or SATA to something else adapters but they still haven't always worked. Besides the adapter it could just be a BIOS update that's needed

Still doesn't work.

Any ideas?

I've changed that 8800GT with a 450 GTS and still nothing happens.
I've changed that DELUX 400W with a Sirtec 500W and still nothing.

I think the problem is the mobo.
