Just got them, unboxed, and straight to the PC.

I using the back panel of course (Asus Z270-A PRIME motherboard), and only until the DAC/AMP arrives.

Anyway, the sound is not what I expected. I'm using AKG buds, and the Samsung Buds so not the top of the line, and I thought I'll get a big difference.

I know sometimes you need to change some windows 10 settings, I changed the sample rate from 24 bit 48000 Hz to 24 bit 96000 Hz, and even 32 bit 192000 Hz, and still weird sound.

Maybe it's just the motherboard and I need to wait for the DAC but I want to make sure I'm not missing anything in the setup process.

I would appreciate any help as a noob member of the HQ audio community :)

(p.s sorry for bad grammar)

Sound not what...
Is there any chance that there is something wrong with the input socket? Or perhaps a newer audio driver or audio plug-in should be installed? Of course, if it's a software problem. Have you tried it on a different device?

I can't try my phone because it does not have a headphones jack.
I don't think the input socket is the problem and all drivers are installed correctly.
Maybe it's just my expectations from the headphones.

Sound not what you expected is not something you can go on as being an issue. They may sound exactly how they should sound and you just don't like how they sound. You need a bunch of other headsets to compare them to, run off several sources before you actually would know if it's an issue with the headphones, your system or if it's just how they sound. You may also want to find some other people to try them out, best if those other people have experience with Sennheiser sets and/or other headphones.
