Question New i7 7700k black screen

Have a z170p mobo with an i5 6600k in it.

I've put an i7 7700k onto it and black screen with fans on. don't even get a bios (my monitors stay in standby)

I reset the cmos battery (took it our for 15 seconds) but nothing yet, just a boot, reset and boot again but stays on.


Help please

RAM: 16gb ddr4/ddr3 cant remember
650 watt psu

I got the same problem when i change my i5-3470 to i7-3770 i dunno why GL

At my topic they said update your bios. Maybe you should check bios version?

If you re-install the 6600k does the system work? Any bent pins? Motherboard power supply cable connected at the top?
