I owned Dell one time their quality control was pretty poor indeed. Their C/S is not to good either.
 

hmm you must not have any knowledge of dells business class laptops.
 
Thought I'd revive this....

After looking at the Retina MBP I decided I wasn't crazy about the screen...certainly not enough to pay a premium for it while losing the ability to upgrade RAM and storage.

If I could I'd get a new 1680x1050 15" MBP as I can imagine it'd be at least a little faster than my early 2011. I really like the 1680x1050 on their 15" and the laptop performs quite well for what I use it for (virtualization). The new Retina models also have those durned vents for dirt and crap to get into. ...making it even harder for me to keep it as close to the brand-new condition that I seem to insist upon with my things.

Na, for now, they can keep their Retina MBPs.
 
Like I said it is over rated and way over priced.The human vision cannot even see that much into what they are promoting with this Retina display.
