Question New monitor lower fps

Hello, i bought a new monitor 2560x1440 114Hz and my fps drop to 40-50 (freesync off).
CPU: i7 8700k
GPU: Gigabyte 1080


any idea?

Yes the new one is 27" and my older 24"

...But resolution-wise? The easiest explanation and the one I assume is the case is that the previous monitor was 1080p and the new one is 1440p.

There's no real way to get the same performance at a higher resolution and the same graphics settings. You may have to lower the graphics settings or set the ingame resolution to 1080p (which wouldn't make much sense, as you just got a 1440p monitor).
