[SOLVED] New motherboard and CPU not booting with original boot drive and not reading other storage devices?

A friend of mine just upgraded from an i7-6700k to an i7-12700k and MSI Z690A motherboard. Can't seem to figure out why it won't even read the drives but through the pictures it seems to be detecting them. I wanna assume that the reason being is because of the new motherboard, he has to reinstall Windows because it's a new "device"?

Forgot to add that the PC automatically boots into the BIOS. No other splash screens occur other than a brief MSI splash

Try booting with only the OS drive installed.

And yes, you should do a full reinstall of windows.
