Hello all. Im not sure if this belongs in CPU or motherboard threads . I just swapped my b350 with an MSI Tomohawk Max II b450 motherboard , as well as my ryzen 5 1600 with a ryzen 5 5600x.

I did the BIOS update and everything with it.

My computer boots and passes post and I can do everything fine. But there is still a red light on my motherboard right next to "cpu" on the ez debug led.
I have tried repeating the CPU but that didn't help. And it's a new motherboard so I don't assume I have to replace the CMOS battery?

Any advice would be great!

Solution
This red light usualy means CPU fail (not placed properly, or damaged, or cant detected by system)
Sometimes, it means NO CPU cooler is installed
When changing the processor, the system configuration could be cleared and reset BIOS to default values, this is necessary step...
to clear reset BIOS - 1. Power off the computer and unplug the power cord. 2. Use a jumper cap to short JBAT1 for about 5-10 seconds. 3. Remove the jumper cap from JBAT1. 4. Plug the power cord and Power on the computer
or just unplug CMOS Battery for about 10-20 sec
try this steps and post update
