hello,

ive just recently upgraded to a legion 7 pro gaming laptop with a 4090 and having issues after installing my second (brand new) 2TB NVME in the second m.2 slot.

i have only games and some game clips on it so far. So when i boot my pc and the drive isnt recognised then i cannot play the games and have to restart the pc which only fixes the problem half of the time. Often i have to restart multiple times and go into bios to sort it.

i have recently updated the bios which hasnt fixed anything.

im also having other strange issues with the pc such as the pc will often get stuck on restarting where i have to hold the power button to turn off the machine.

also had a recent issue where when i would load a game up, the keyboard would completely freeze. however this is rare.

would appreciate any help,

thanks michael

Was the 2TB drive new when installed or previously had OS on it?

Check in "create and format disk partitions" to be sure it has only one partition (for storage anyway).

You also may need to boot to BIOS/boot order and put the correct drive on the top of that list. I have one PC that I had to actually delete some of those options although that was only because the mobo allowed it. IDK about a laptop board what level of functionality they will give.

Reseat the m.2 a couple of times in the slot see if it makes a diff.
