Hello there, i just installed a new m.2c SSD (Kingston KC3000 500GB), i cloned my old ssd to the new nvme. all worked fine. then i wanted to test the speed of the new nvme with CrystalDiskMark and it only showed 3500 Mbit/s of the advertised 7000Mbit/s

i already changed some settings in the BIOS:
M.2_1 PCIe bandwith from auto to 4x
PCIX16x1 from Auo to Raid Mode

still didnt work..
there probably are some settings i have to change for this to work, but i dont know which..
hope you can help me 😀

Following system:
amd ryzen 7 2700x
gigabyte radeon rx 5600 xt
asus rog strix b550-f gaming
1 TB HDD
250GB SSD SanDisk external
1x 3.0 NvMe 980 Samsung 1TB
1x 4.0 NvMe Kingston KC3000 7000mb/s 500GB

the new NVME is on the M.2_1 slot which is NOT bandwith sharing (according to manual: https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-b550-f-gaming-model/helpdesk_manual/ )

AMD Ryzen™ 5000 and 3000 Series/ 5000 and 4000 G-Series Desktop Processors
M.2_1 slot (Key M), type 2242/2260/2280/22110 (supports PCIe 4.0 x4 & SATA modes)

AMD B550 Chipset:
M.2_2 slot (Key M), type 2242/2260/2280/22110 (supports PCIe 3.0 x4 & SATA modes)*

Since you do not have Ryzen 3000-, 4000G- or 5000-series CPU, but instead Ryzen 2000-series CPU, you are limited to PCI-E 3.0 speeds on your M.2 drive. Thus, 3500 Mbit/s is max what you can get.

Damn, i was about to upgrade my cpu form the 2700x to the ryzen 7 5800x3D.
just need to wait a little.
so if i upgrade my cpu to the 5800x3d i can change it from the gen3 to the gen4 thus gaining the full Re/Wr Speed, am i right?
