Question New nvme m.2 (won’t boot os)

Ryzen 5 3600x
Sapphire 5700xt nitro +
32gb ddr4 3600mghz ram
WD nvme 250gb for OS
4gb HDD
Rm750x
Asus b450f gaming motherboard

I am trying to install a second m.2 to the second slot on my motherboard. When it’s installed the pc won’t boot windows. When I take the NEW drive out my pc boots up fine. I’ve tried switching the SATA cable from my HDD to other positions and still same result. Is it possible to run another nvme with my setup? If so please tell me how I can fix this issue and if not any recommendations on how to upgrade storage?

Btw I’m not trying to change the OS. I’m just trying to add more storage for games.

I’m in windows now through safe mode with the new nvme in the system..

My computer can see the nvme drive it does recognize it I’m just in safe mode lol

That means that something on the software side is happening which a reinstall would probably fix.

I don’t even know what I’ve been doing lol I’m just a noob trying to listen to good advice. So this means I should do a fresh install then? There’s no way to get this working outside of safe mode??

As said much much earlier....

A full OS install on this new NVME drive.
This will validate the drive and the rest of the system.

Or, you could continue to faff around with safe mode and the old OS on the 250GB drive.

Then just restart into normal mode and it should all be good.

Pc now getting black screen after turning on… havent eve done anything except for shut down from safe mode..
