Hello everyone! My name is Andrew and I am looking to build a new gaming PC that can run current games.
Approximate Purchase Date: Latest would be summer time but considering purchasing in the next week since I am stuck at home.
Budget Range: $1600 total after taxes/shipping
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming with potential streaming, internet, media, home office.
Are you buying a monitor: No
Parts to Upgrade: Full PC build
Do you need to buy OS: I believe so. My current OS is Windows 10 which was upgraded from a Windows 8 key purchased for my current PC as a digital activation linked to my Microsoft account.
Please note that if you're using an OEM license of Windows, you will need a new one when buying a new motherboard.
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Open to using multiple sites for best prices as long as they accept PayPal as a payment method and do not have high shipping costs.
Location: Conyers, GA, USA
Parts Preferences: Have always been Intel/NVidia but open to AMD this time around over Intel for processor.
Overclocking: Maybe
SLI or Crossfire: No
Your Monitor Resolution: All monitors are currently 1920x1080 res but would like the open to go up to 1440 gaming on my main monitor in the future.
Additional Comments: This is my second build with the previous in 2012/13 with a GPU upgrade in 2016. Looking for something to run modern games at 1080 and eventually 1440 while holding 60FPS or greater. Current games I play are World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Call of Duty (if my PC cooperates), and looking to play Escape from Tarkov and Valorant when released. Potential for streaming would be a plus.
For the PC components, I would like a case with some built in fans on RBG with a window on the side. Need a decent amount of storage, and open to whatever is the best option of SSD/HDD for my budget. I currently have a 500GB SSD and 1TB HDD and would like that at the minimum.
And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Previous build from 2012/13 with GPU upgrade in 2016. Having trouble running graphic games like Call of Duty and can sometimes experience severe freezing when trying to do more than one thing at a time like browsing internet while in a game.
If any clarifying questions are needed I will respond quickly.
Thanks everyone in advance for your input and suggestions.
