Hi,

I assembled a new pc and i am been trying for 2 weeks to find out the root cause for a freeze that happens in 3dmark test. The issue was resolved only by changing the windows 10 power plan from balanced to high performance. Is this a faulty processor or something else ? Is there a theory why high performance negates that issue ?

Note:
- prime95 test passed
-memtest86 test passed
- occt gpu test 100% mem passed
-occt power supply stress test passed
- i play games normally without issues at high performance without any freezing
- issue happens with 1 memory stick
- issues happens with latest drivers and bios
- windows setup 3 times still issue exist

The specs:
Ryzen 7800x3d
Graphics card: Asus TUF 4090 oc
Ram: G skills 6000hz 2x16 GB c30
board: Asus strix 670 e-f
Psu: Corsair rm1000e

The error details:
Event id Kernel Power 41, event data all 0s. No suspicious event around it in the event viewer. No memory dump possible. Screen freezes then pc restarts or screen goes black then pc restarts.

Abit random, sometimes fail at the second rerun of stress test and not at the first run. A Single run has 20 repetitions of the same pattern.

I forgot to mention, the temperatures are stable at 76 celcius for both the processor and the graphic card on stress tests. So overheating is ruled out.

Have you tried with the default BIOS settings? Also which 3DMark test are you running?
Bios at default did not work out, as well as clearing the cmos. Bios version flashed early to 1602, latest in asus website for the board.

3DMark Gpu stress test, i just launched the first test i found, i can provide more info about that later today if that is not sufficient.

Sorry for the late reply, I was testing the system for a while. It is working fine during gaming and browsing and when left Idle, but still fails the 3dMark test. I changed the PCIE cable and reconnected the graphics card for assurance and I tried the FurMark test following the advise here, for 1 hour it is working without any issues. But I am still worried because about future issues, check this post below from answers.micrsoft, I have the exact same behavior, but so far only during the 3dMark test. I also found this amd3dvcacheSvc error in my logs along with the Event 41. I am thinking about and issue in the processor or the motherboard, I am thinking about returning some hardware now since I have until 6 October to return any component no questions asked. What do you guys think ?
