Hello. I had just installed windows xp sp3 professional. And I have few problems.

1. What should I do? I mean this was my first time changing os all by myself, and I remember when my friend did it he changed quite a lot of stuff in options. I dont remember what he did so can you help me with this that I should do after installing os (I mean some deep pc options not like "install antivirus, winrar, gom player").

2. Slow performance in some areas. As far as I remember my coping is same speed but there is this annoying thing. When I have opened some folder and I click maximize for folder that is not full screen it takes pc like 0.5-1.0 seconds with some freezing like feeling. Same goes for scrolling in folder full with files. It is just not fluent, how can I make it be?

Thank you :)

Also I have bios updating problem. I copy files to formated usb. Set my usb as first boot device, when I enter bios it says press any key to boot from usb, but then it just turns on windows.

Thank you. It required bios update and I used ms live update 5 and bios is now lates, still got problems with this pci update and enthernet through
Edit: is my bios deleted to first version when I format local disk, i plan to install windows 10 with new hardware, but dont know that if I format local disk c to instal w8 and then update to w10 will my bios during formating be lowerd from v1.9 to v1.0?

BIOS is stored within the motherboard, not on disk.

what is the problem with PCI & Ethernet updates? are the updates from MSI's website failing during install?

They instal nice, I restart, then on start I pick to computer automaticaly do things he needs to d o about instalation, and then it starts behaving strange, it wont read my usbs some of them, it wont read my android devuces even after I reinstal samsung usb drivers. About enthernet seems that it works good (cannot know cuz no internet)

i had an LG smart phone that needed certain LG program running to access files on the phone. also a camera that needed certain kodak program to access images from the camera. you may be experiencing same type issue.
check the android device's specific webpage to see if there is a Windows program or driver that needs installing.

if you've already done this; may be that they don't support Windows XP. might be a good time to try the upgrade to 7, 8.1, or 10.
