I just received my New/Refurbished gaming PC from Xidax, I try to turn it on but my display isnt working. I was able to finally get the desktop to appear, but it had staggered white lines going through it. Now I cant get it to do even that. I've reseated my RAM and my Graphics Card, which is seated on an Add-on PCIe slot, which I've also disconnected and re-plugged in. If this was a graphics card issue, why isnt my keyboard lighting up either? It should also be noted that when I set everything up initially, I later discovered that the three prong plug was not all the way seated in the PSU. Could this have damaged something internally? Please help :confused2:

I have contacted Xidax, but I really don't want to send my PC back, now that I physically have it I'd almost prefer to fix it myself instead of it subjugating it to shipping.

my Graphics Card, which is seated on an Add-on PCIe slot,
Can you pass on a picture of this add-on slot? Are you referring to a PCIe riser cable? Try dropping the discrete GPU into the first PCIe slot, devoid the PCIe riser adapter.

The PC shouldn't be behaving like so, out of the box. Since you have warranty and the system is brand new, it should undergo their scrutiny. Perhaps something came loose during shipping/transit.

Unless you had direction specifically from them to open the PC and reseat things you might have already voided your warranty. There may or may not have been tamper seals or something such that they could tell. If there wasn't, I am sure I would say so. Send the unit back. The whole point in purchasing a pre-build is the warranty you paid extra to have.

A quick google search of PCIe Riser, tells me that yes, that's what it's called, lol. My graphics wont fit on the motherboard due to size without it.
I'm not at home right now, but I will certainly take a picture when I get home in a few hours.

When I reached out to their customer service, the first thing they told me to do was reseat the RAM so I think we are covered there. I have a transcript of this conversation as well.

^That is good. It isn't unusual for systems to have hardware needing reseating due to the vibrations from shipping. If you are already in contact with them it may be best to do whatever they are suggesting as next course of action. A little time waiting is certainly worth the money spent on such a decent (seeming) rig, as far as hardware list is concerned.

I guess I'm a little concerned that I damaged something with the PSU cable not being all the way plugged in, and that they may not cover that.
