New problem with Shift button after Windows reinstallation

Hey all, hope you can help me!

I've been using Windows XP Home edition for over 2 months
now with no problems.

A couple of days ago I had a big problem with Windows, to
do with some faulty Windows Activation files, forcing me
to reinstall Windows.

Anyway, I'm a gamer, and play a number of different games
on my PC. I generally use SHIFT as my crouch button
ingame. If I hold SHIFT and then try and move whilst
crouching (ie. pressing the arrow keys) the crouching is
cancelled. Simply put, it seems that in these games, the
SHIFT action is cancelled when the arrow keys are used.

I have an old Microsoft Natural Keyboard which I've been
using with no trouble for a number of years. Last week on
exactly the same setup, everything worked fine. Only
since the reinstallation has there been a problem.

The problem also occurs on one game... making me think
that it is a problem with Windows, rather than the game.

I hope somebody can help me,

Thanks very much

Matt Whorton
