What I am looking for is what type of ram do I have to get, currently I have 6gb of ddr3 1333mhz ram.Do all I need to look for is ddr3 1333mhz ram, or can I get something higher than 1333mhz?

No guarantees, the new DRAM will play with the old, even if you could get the same exact model of DRAM, the forums are full of threads from people mixing DRAM and having problems, best bet is a single package of the full amount you want, if you do mix and have problems, give me a shout

Ok well my pc was a pre-built pc, so I can't buy the exact same ram, but my pc is bascically not the original pre-built one anymore, since I upgraded it so much the only thing that is from the old pre-built one is the hard drive, and the ram. But anyways I can't really buy the ram, from the manufacturer, but I guess I will get 1333mhz ddr3 4gb of ram to upgrade my pc, since I don't really want to get rid of the old ram, and if you can find the best ram for my system. you can look at my old pre-built one here to see the old memory http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02995511&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en#N559 and if you want to know my current specs its a AMD FX-8350, GTX 770, Asrock 970 Extreme4, Windows 8.1,1 7200rpm Hard Drive, a 500gb 7200rpm hard drive, 6gb 1333mhz ram, and a 850w XFX 80+ Bronze power supply. And I was thinking of buying this ram http://www.ncixus.com/products/?usaffiliateid=1000031504&sku=54791&vpn=CMV4GX3M1A1333C9&manufacture=Corsair but if you can find better ram then it would be much appreciated for you to tell me 😀

I don't quite know my budget upgrade yet, and I wouldn't want problems, but I would like 8 or 10gb of ram, but I probably can't get 8gb of ram, because im not buying the ram my uncle is, and I think he is spending only around $50, which I couldn't find 8gb of ram for $50 only for $70 up, and im broke, because I just bought windows 8.1, amd fx-8350, 850w power supply, and a asrock 970 extreme4 mobo. I don't know if you can find 8gb of ram for $50, but if you can tell me!

I feel like it would be better to get the 4gb, and keep the 6gb and have 10gb of ram, but it's mainly just the problems that can happen that I am worried about. Maybe if it is possible for you to find the most likely ram to work with the ram on this page http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02995511&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en

I did a little more research, and the recommended memory upgrade specs are DDR3 PC3-12800 • CL=11 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR3-1600 • 1.5V • 512Meg x 64 • Here is the link to the website http://www.crucial.com/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=85CD99F7A5CA7304

I tried looking in CPU-Z before, and nothing popped up except the amount of ram I had, and I just looked into the SPD tab, and nothing popped up
